ABOUT THIS COLLECTION
Bringing Cheadle’s history to life since 2017
Established in 2017 by local historian Andrew Frazer, the Cheadle Heritage Group was created on the social media platform Facebook to encourage a greater appreciation and understanding of Cheadle’s rich historical heritage.
Since its creation, the group has continued to flourish, growing into a thriving online community of more than 3,000 members who share a common interest in the history of Cheadle, Cheshire.
The collection brings together photographs and historical material from the private collection of Andrew Frazer, alongside contributions generously shared by group members over the years.
Through the sharing of historical photographs, personal memories, local knowledge and research, the Cheadle Heritage Group has played an important role in reviving and strengthening public interest in Cheadle’s history and heritage.
Today, this collection forms part of the Cheadle Heritage Archive, preserving the group’s contributions and making them accessible to future generations.
